Charity Walk

The Hui O Momilani PTSO is having one last fundraiser for the 2016-2017 school year! We will be participating in the 38th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk on Saturday, May 20th at 7am.


Anyone is welcome to participate so invite your friends, family and neighbors to join our Hui as we walk, eat, have a good time AND raise money for our school! All funds raised will benefit the Hui and help us continue the many programs that our keiki look forward to participating in year after year. As an added bonus, the student and teacher who raise the most funds for this event will win an Android tablet.


Here’s what you need to know:

  • Online registration is $41 for adults and $26 for all kids under 18 - all walkers are required to pay minimum fee.

  • Register by May 5 and get a FREE Hui O Momilani Charity Walk t shirt

  • Student & Teacher that raises the most money wins an Android Tablet

  • Make a donation. Please be sure to either donate to the TEAM, Hui O Momilani PTSO, as a walker, or donate under your student’s name (see registration/donation instructions below) so that he/she will get credit.

As a School Community Council member, you can contribute to the education of students in your school. Education is a partnership involving parents, students, school staff, the Board of Education, business, and the community. Your involvement in the council gives you the opportunity to strengthen that partnership, and to be part of a dedicated team working to ensure a high quality and accountable education system for the children of Hawaii. Your participation can make a difference!



Please submit electronically by March 31, 2015. Elections will be held from April 3, 2017 - April 14, 2017.

The resurfacing project of the Momilani Elementary School driveway and parking lot will begin during spring break, but will carry over into the beginning of fourth quarter. We are expeting heavy slow downs on Ho'omoana, Ho'okiekie, and Waimano Home Road. Please plan your commute to school to account for additional dlwo downs near the campus.

Great Aloha / Keiki Run

Have you ever heard of the Great Aloha Run? It is 8.15 miles long.  It occurs every year on the third Monday in February (Presidents’ Day).  The course starts in downtown Honolulu on Nimitz Highway across from Aloha Tower, runs west on Nimitz Highway along Honolulu Harbor, under the Interstate H-1 viaduct near Honolulu International Airport, and along Kamehameha Highway. It finishes at the Aloha Stadium....

Momilani Minecraft Projects


Minecraft is an open-ended single and multi-player game world where students can explore, design, and create while practicing problem solving and critcal thinking skills.


When we started using this program at Momilani, we began by teaching math concepts such as multiplication, conversions, decimals, graphing and probability. To date, there have been approxmately 40 math based lessons / maps created within MinecraftEdu.


Since those ealy years, the use of Minecraft has evolved and we now utilize it to incorporate real life problems with content through a project based learning environment...

The beginning of the year is always a great time to think about making some changes. Look at our snack list below and send your kieki off with a healthy option!

It is always tempting to bring cupcakes or other sweets for these special days, but please remember that Momilani is a Wellness recognized school and we support healthy alternatives to help us celebrate with our keiki!

The Momilani Elementary School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by parents to support the students of Momilani Elementary School.  The Foundation raises money to improve the educational experience of all students at Momilani.


The Foundation’s success relies heavily on volunteer parents to make things happen.  As such, the Foundation NEEDS YOU!  We welcome your getting involved with an organization that is dedicated to making your child’s experience at Momilani a rewarding one.
