Make A Difference
The Make a Difference Team is a group of students who have a heart for stewardship. These are students who like helping others, and want to make a difference in our community. They play an important role in recycling drives, canned food drives, Red Ribbon Week, Spirit Week and service projects. They also assist with Grandparents’ Luncheons for the different grade levels, seating the guests, serving water, and clearing the tables.
Since 2009, I've been working here at Momilani Elementary as a PPT and at Momilani A+. I have worked part time positions at Kumon for reading and writing, August Ahrens Elementary, and Honowai Elementary working with students from pre-K to 6th grade. In 2015, I will have obtained my Associates in Psychology with a focus on Childhood and Behavioral Psychology, and in 2016, I will have obtained my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Here at Momilani, I assist the classroom teachers and their students and am also the advisor for the Make a Difference Team which is composed of willing 5th and 6th Graders who help our school and community through various activities such as Grandparents Day, our Quarterly Recycle Drive, and other school activities.
