Hui O Momilani - Charity Walk

Aloha Momilani Ohana!

The Hui O Momilani PTSO is having its last fundraiser for the 2017-18 school year and we hope to have
a strong showing again to end the year in a big way!

We will be participating in the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association's (HLTA) 40th Annual Visitor
Industry Charity Walk which takes place on Saturday, May 19 at Ala Moana Beach Park. Registration
begins at 5 a.m. and the walk officially starts at 7 a.m.

2017 Charity Walk Participants

Everyone is welcome to walk – and eat along the way – as part of Team Hui O Momilani, so we
encourage you to get your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to join us.

All funds raised will benefit the Hui and help us continue putting on the many programs and events that
our keiki and their families look forward to each year. In 2017, HLTA awarded the Hui a total of $15,000
for our participation in the walk. With your support, we raised $4,662 in pledges and HLTA funded the
Hui an additional $10,000 to support our K-6 drama performances. With those funds, we were able to
upgrade the theater lighting in the cafeteria and update our audio system.

2017 Charity Walk Student Participants

To get everyone motivated, the Hui O Momilani is offering two incentives this year:

  • The class that raises the most funds will receive a Mahalo Party before the end of the school
year. The teachers of that class will also receive a special gift.
  • The student who raises the most money will receive a $150 Amazon Gift Card.

Finally, more information about the Charity Walk can be found at:

  • The walk starts at McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park, goes through Waikiki and ends
back at Ala Moana Beach Park. It is a 5.25-mile walk, HOWEVER, you'll get plenty to eat and
    drink along the way.
  • Online registration is $41 for adults and $26 for kids 18 years and under. All walkers are required
    to raise the minimum fee.
  • We ask that everyone please wear a royal blue shirt (with Momilani logo if possible).

On behalf of the Hui O Momilani executive committee, we thank you for all of your incredible support this
past school year. Should you have any questions, please email

Let's make this Charity Walk another great success!
